Vacation Home Ownership Just Got Easier

Hey, it’s Doug.

Over the past year, our team at Plum CoOwnership has been hard at work making it easier for people to buy, sell, and manage shared ownership of vacation homes.

We wanted to take a moment to share some of the biggest updates and what’s coming next!

When I first stepped in to lead Plum, I wasn't sure what to expect.

But as I dug deeper, it became clear: fractional vacation home ownership isn't a niche idea. It's a growing movement.

There was (and still is) a huge market here that's just getting started. And with the right focus, we could help it thrive.

One of the biggest changes we made was shifting the focus to helping existing vacation homeowners sell shares of their properties. Instead of only trying to form new groups to go out and buy homes, we opened the door for homeowners who already had beautiful properties to offer shares.

That shift has made a massive difference. It’s helped us:

  • Expand our inventory quickly (we’ve added 100+ new share listings!)

  • Offer more flexible opportunities across the country

  • Make it easier for people to step into co-ownership without starting from scratch

And we’re just getting started.

Introducing Plum Connect

We heard from customers that one of the biggest worries about co-owning a vacation home was dealing with the logistics.

That's why we built Plum Connect, our new app that makes handling the logistics of your co-ownership experience so much easier than before. Scheduling time at your property and coordinating shared expenses are just a few of the features I’m really excited about rolling out to our community!

This is one of my favorite stories on the platform right now.
